Location
The San Luis project is located in the department of Huila in south-central Colombia, approximately 80 kilometres northwest of the capital city of Neiva, which is a 35-minute flight from Bogota.
From Neiva, the San Luis project is a two-and-a-half hour drive on paved, all-weather roads. Located on the eastern flank of the Cordillera Central of the Andes Mountains, the property ranges in elevation from 1,400 to 2,100 metres above sea level. The project area is well positioned in terms of connections to airports, electric power, water and communications.
Current economic activity in the area is predominantly agricultural, with a focus on growing food staples and coffee. Small-scale mining activity is common, with tunnel excavations between 20 and 200 metres in lengths on multiple levels.
